AirPower 2027 in Zeltweg: Camping in Spielberg right by the Action
The international air show AirPower 2027 is expected to return to Fliegerhorst Hinterstoisser in Zeltweg on Friday, September 3, and Saturday, September 4, 2027. After AirPower 2026 was canceled by the Federal Ministry of Defense on September 17, 2025, aviation fans from all over Europe are now focusing on the 2027 weekend — one of the largest and most visited aviation events in the German-speaking region.
Those who plan ahead secure the best spots. And for those who want to stay close to the action without long travel distances, Camping Weiss in Spielberg is the perfect starting point: only 2 km as the crow flies from the airfield — Eurofighters, A-400M, and the Patrouille Suisse fly practically over the pitch during the practice days.
AirPower 2027 — Key Facts
AirPower 2027 is expected to take place on Friday, September 3, and Saturday, September 4, 2027 — the location is Fliegerhorst Hinterstoisser in 8740 Zeltweg, Styria. The organizers are the Federal Ministry of Defense in collaboration with Red Bull and the State of Styria. Admission is as always free, children under 14 enjoy free entry to the air show and pay only the reduced rate at the campsite. Between 200,000 and 300,000 visitors are expected.
The complete flight program is usually published by the Armed Forces about eight to ten weeks before the event. AirPower 2024 included Eurofighter Solo Display, A-400M Flying Display, F-16/F-18 Solo, Flying Bulls Formation, Patrouille Suisse, Patrulla Aguila, and the Bundesheer Argonaut Display as part of the main program. We will update the program overview continuously as soon as official information from Zeltweg is released.

Camping for AirPower in Spielberg: Why Camping Weiss?
Camping Weiss in Spielberg has been the top choice for AirPower visitors for years — for three reasons.
Location: 2 km as the crow flies to the airfield
The pitch is located directly north of the airfield. During the practice days on Thursday and Friday, you can experience the program right from your motorhome. It's a 15-minute bike ride along Triesterstraße to Entrance Gate 1 EAST, about 45 minutes on foot via Spielbergerstraße, or an 8-minute drive to Zeltweg parking lot. You can find a detailed interactive arrival map with Google Maps link on our recommendation page airpower-camping.com — where we have clearly documented all routes, entrances, and parking lots for the AirPower weekend.
Family-friendly and peaceful
What sets Camping Weiss apart from typical festival campsites is the quiet, well-organized atmosphere. A 24-hour security service ensures safety around the clock. Quiet hours from 23:00 to 07:00 guarantee regulated night rest. Children under 14 stay free at the site. The food truck Matteo serves classic Italian pizza and pasta directly on the premises. On Friday and Saturday, a free shopping shuttle runs to the nearest town. And on Sunday, late check-out is until 16:00 — relaxed return home instead of rush at departure.
No hassle with admission
AirPower is free — a joint gift from the Armed Forces, Red Bull, and the State of Styria to the public. There are no admission tickets, access to all entrances is free. With Camping Weiss's location in Spielberg, you save yourself the long journey, the parking issues around Zeltweg, and easily reach the gates by bike or on foot.
