Campsite Rules
A few clear rules — so it stays quiet, safe and clean for everyone.
The area you are entering (Schitterhof and Schitterhof Camping) is a private, agriculturally used site with a temporary campsite: Schitterhof CAMPING WEISS, Spielbergerstraße 12, 8724 Spielberg (at the Red Bull Ring). Please observe the following rules — they ensure a quiet, safe and clean stay for everyone.
- Use of the campsite is at your own risk; no security is provided. Parents are liable for their children. The operator is not liable for damages (e.g. accidents, injuries, lost or damaged property) – except in cases of intent or gross negligence.
- The site may only be entered after registering with the staff and after payment in full. The wristband you are given must be worn visibly throughout your stay.
- There are no numbered pitches – allocation takes place on arrival or is chosen by yourself subject to availability.
- The StVO (road traffic regulations) applies throughout the entire area, including access and connecting roads; walking pace applies. Unnecessary driving (in particular with quads, mopeds, motor scooters) is prohibited – except for arrival and departure. Vehicles not approved for road use (home-built vehicles) are prohibited.
- Entering private rooms, areas that are not open and all security zones is prohibited; fences, locked gates and barriers must not be crossed.
- The instructions of the security and stewarding staff must be followed at all times. Persons severely impaired by alcohol or drugs may be removed from the area.
- Protection of minors under the Steiermärkisches Jugendgesetz: no alcohol for those under 16, spirits only from 18, tobacco products only from 18.
- The site is under video surveillance for security reasons.
- Parking only in the designated areas. Unlawfully parked vehicles will be towed away at the owner's expense.
- The site must be kept clean. Waste belongs in the bags or containers provided. Bulky waste (tent poles, camping utensils, seating, cooling appliances and the like) must not be left behind – otherwise disposal costs will be charged.
- Smoking is only permitted at designated outdoor locations, not in sanitary or indoor areas.
- Pets – dogs in particular – are welcome and free of charge. A leash requirement applies (no roaming free), a maximum of two animals per pitch; dog waste must be disposed of by yourself. Aggressive or dangerous animals are not permitted.
- Barbecuing: gas and electric grills in suitable appliances are permitted. Charcoal grills, open fire, campfires and fire bowls are prohibited for fire safety reasons.
- It is prohibited to bring in fireworks, flares, incendiary devices, glass bottles, sticks/poles, stone, stabbing, cutting and striking objects as well as weapons of any kind. Excessively loud sound systems are not permitted.
- Music is permitted from 8:00 – 22:00, and from 22:00 – 23:00 only at „room volume“. Night-time quiet from 23:00 – 7:00 must be strictly observed.
- Relocating tents with trenches is not permitted.
- Repairs to motor vehicles are prohibited; minor work only if no environmental pollution from leaking fluids and no noise nuisance (in particular disturbance of the night-time quiet) results.
- The laying of cables and hoses requires consent; trip hazards are to be avoided, cable reels fully unwound.
- The use of unmanned devices (drones/model aircraft) is prohibited throughout the entire area.
- The sale of goods as well as the distribution of advertising material require the owner's express written consent.
- The party causing damage is liable for it. Drilling holes and fastening materials to buildings, façades, walls, fences, lighting and outdoor installations, as well as painting and writing on them, are strictly prohibited.
- Departure on race day: for traffic policing reasons, the official release generally takes place from 20:00. Experience shows that Schitterhof guests leave around one hour after the end of the race – i.e. earlier; an early check-out is not necessary.
Thank you for your cooperation. Violations may lead to expulsion from the site; in individual cases we reserve the right to file a criminal complaint. These Campsite Rules are an integral part of the Terms and Conditions. We wish you a pleasant stay!
