Riding in on your motorbike but still want a decent night's sleep? Our new glamping tents make it happen – all you need is a backpack.

Anyone arriving at MotoGP by motorbike knows the problem: where do you fit the tent, sleeping bag and all that camping gear? The answer's already standing on our meadow – 50 glamping tents in total, available to book right now. You pack just your rucksack, check in, and you're sorted.

What's inside the glamping tent?

Each tent is set up, clean and ready when you arrive. Inside you'll find proper beds with mattresses – no sleeping mat on hard ground. Electricity's included (230 V / 8 A, Schuko sockets), lighting too. You use the central facilities with hot water around the clock, same as everyone else on site. The tents are pitched on their own area near the food outlets – short walk to Matteo (pizza & pasta) and Mamas Tacos (Mexican), and the modern showers are just steps away.

Maximum 300 people sleep in the 50 tents – keeps things manageable and quiet. Night-time quiet hours from 11 pm, security on site 24/7. That's exactly why many women travelling solo describe Schitterhof as the safest and most pleasant campsite at Red Bull Ring.

Why a tent – instead of bringing your own kit?

Honestly? Because it's easier. On a motorbike you've got limited space for bulky gear. A glamping tent saves you hauling tent, sleeping bag, air mattress and cooking equipment. You travel light, still sleep comfortably, and have more time for what matters – the MotoGP.

And if you're wondering whether you need to sort your own food: you don't. Friday and Saturday our free shuttle runs you to the nearest supermarket, every 30 minutes. No stress about supplies. Or grab something directly from our food corner – breakfast from 07:00, hot food from 16:00. Pizza, pasta, tacos, burritos – all freshly prepared, pay cash or card.

Travel light, sleep safe, central to the track – the glamping tent is my best option for MotoGP.

Mid-September weather: what to expect

MotoGP at Red Bull Ring runs this year from 11 to 14 September – meteorologically speaking, the shift from late summer to early autumn. In the Murtal valley, daytime highs mid-September average between 18 and 22 degrees, nights cool to around 8 to 12 degrees. So pack a light sleeping bag or blanket, plus a waterproof jacket – rain showers are quite possible in September.

Good news: the tents protect you from wind and overnight chill far better than an open motorbike bivvy. And if it rains during the day, you've got a dry roof overhead. September packing list: warm layer for evenings, waterproof jacket, decent shoes – and that's basically it.
