Food & Shopping at the Campsite: MATTEO, Mama's Tacos & Shuttle

Coffee and breakfast at MATTEO in the morning, tacos at lunch, pizza in the evening – and on Fridays and Saturdays a free shuttle takes you to the supermarket. Here's how catering works at the campsite and where you can grab a quick shop during the events.

On event days the food outlets run daily from around 07:00 to 23:00. At MATTEO you'll find breakfast from seven in the morning – coffee, fresh rolls, croissants – perfect before you head off to the track. From 11:00 there are hot meals. In the evening MATTEO is all about pizza and pasta, while MAMAS TACOS focuses on Mexican-inspired dishes: tacos, burritos, vegetarian options on request. The two spots complement each other nicely – sometimes you're in the mood for crispy pizza, sometimes for a quick burrito after the race.

Can I cook or grill myself?

Of course. Gas and electric grills are allowed at your pitch, as long as they run in suitable appliances. Charcoal grills, open flames, campfires and fire bowls are prohibited for fire-safety reasons. At the sanitary buildings there are free water refill stations if you want to top up your drinking bottle. Ice cubes for your cool box are available right at MATTEO.

How do I get to the supermarket during the events?

During Formula 1 and MotoGP a free shuttle runs to the nearest supermarket every 30 minutes on Fridays and Saturdays. That's especially handy when you want to restock fresh food, drinks or other little bits. We post the exact departure schedule at check-in, or just ask the team. If you'd rather walk: the centre of Spielberg with smaller shops is about 10 minutes away.

How do I pay at the food outlets?

Cash or card – Visa, Mastercard, Maestro – with no minimum spend. That applies to both spots, MATTEO and Mama's Tacos. Vegetarian dishes are available on request, just let us know when you order. Honestly: the mix of your own grill at the pitch and the on-site offering works really well. Grab a quick coffee in the morning, take away a relaxed pizza after the race in the evening – no stress, no long walks.
