The 2026 Austrian Grand Prix is coming – and you want to be right in the middle of it without giving up comfort. Here you'll find everything that matters about pitch categories, arrival, check-in and the days on site: precise, transparent and with no marketing fluff.

The 2026 Austrian Grand Prix in Spielberg is getting closer – and with it the question: which pitch suits you, how does arrival work and what awaits you on site? We give you the complete overview so you can plan in a relaxed way and forget nothing important.

Which pitch category is right for me?

The decision mainly depends on the length of your vehicle. There are five categories: BASIC (approx. 30 m², slightly sloping meadow, electricity available as an option) suits campers up to 6 metres, a car with a tent or two motorbikes with a tent – for up to 6 people. PREMIUM (approx. 48 m², level, electricity included) is designed for motorhomes up to 7.5 metres, for up to 8 people. PREMIUM XL (approx. 60 m² / 6×10 m, level, electricity included) works for a car plus caravan or extra-long motorhomes up to 9 metres, likewise for up to 8 people. PREMIUM XXL (approx. 78 m² / 6×13 m, level, electricity included) – our largest pitch – is the right choice for luxury liners or particularly long motorhomes up to 12 metres, for up to 10 people. If you arrive without your own vehicle, you book the Chalet made of Swiss stone pine with two bunk beds for up to 4 people, including electricity, VIP bathroom and a parking space approx. 100 metres away.

The same applies to all categories: the pitch is charged only once per event weekend – no matter how many people come along. Children pay no surcharge.

You can see the current daily price for each category and each event directly in the booking form – including all options (people, nights, electricity). That way the price shown is always transparent and up to date. For Formula 1 there is a minimum stay of three nights. Leaving earlier is possible; unused nights are not refunded.

How exactly does booking work?

You book exclusively online: choose the event, pick a category, set people and nights, enter your details, pay. Common online payment methods such as SEPA transfer, credit card (Visa, Mastercard) and other methods offered in the form are accepted. SEPA transfers can take a few days to arrive. Once payment is received, you automatically get a confirmation email with an invoice and your QR code for check-in. Only with this confirmation is the booking binding. If no confirmation arrives within 48 hours, please get in touch at servus@schitterhof.at.

There is no deposit – the booking becomes binding with full payment. Booking by phone is not possible; for questions you're welcome to reach us by phone or email – but an enquiry is not yet a booking.

What if I can't make it after all?

A fair, tiered cancellation policy applies, counted from the start of the event: if you cancel 6 months or more before the event, you get 100 % back. Between 2 and 6 months beforehand you get 50 % of your money back – or, if you prefer, a free rebooking as credit. Less than 2 months beforehand, a cash refund is no longer possible; but we offer you a one-time free rebooking as credit. You submit cancellations via "My Booking" with your booking number and email – there you immediately see which amount is refundable. We review the request and release it; confirmation comes by email.

Changes or upgrades are possible afterwards via "My Booking": more people, additional nights or a larger category (subject to availability). Amounts already paid are credited. Reductions are only possible via a cancellation request or by contacting us.

How do I get there and when can I arrive?

Address: Schitterhof CAMPING WEISS, Spielbergerstraße 12, 8724 Spielberg – approx. 900 metres from the Red Bull Ring. GPS: 47.2140879, 14.7775305. At major events the access route is signposted with the "black tent on a white background" symbol. You can see the bookable arrival and departure days directly in the booking calendar (event week from Tuesday to Monday). You can also arrive later than booked – unused nights are not refunded.

Usual check-in times are 08:00–22:00, on the main arrival day until 23:00. We state the exact times for each event in the booking confirmation. Check-in on Saturday/Sunday only by prior arrangement at servus@schitterhof.at. Check-in outside these times is not possible – you can spend the night on the waiting car park right in front of the check-in area and check in the next morning from 08:00.

For check-in you simply show your QR code from the confirmation email (on your phone is fine). You then receive your wristband, which is worn visibly throughout your stay and serves as access to the grounds.

Arrival by public transport is possible. A bus stop is right in front of the camping area, and Knittelfeld railway station is approx. 4 km away. During the events, shuttles run to the Red Bull Ring; from there it's approx. 10–15 minutes on foot.

What do I need to know about electricity, water and disposal?

Everywhere there is 230 V / 8 A, Schuko CEE 7/3. With PREMIUM, PREMIUM XL and PREMIUM XXL as well as in the Chalet, electricity is included; with BASIC it can be added as an option. We recommend a splash-proof extension cable of approx. 40 metres (at least 25 metres). External power generators are not allowed – guaranteed quiet and clean air matter to us. Fixed heating or air conditioning built into the motorhome is allowed.

Charging vehicles via the pitch connection is not allowed for safety reasons – the connections are rated at only 8 A, for household appliances. Please use public charging stations (e.g. at the RingRast petrol station, approx. 500 metres away). E-bikes can be charged via the normal Schuko sockets at the pitch.

Top-quality drinking water is available free of charge at central taps in the camping areas (especially near check-in and the sanitary buildings). There is no direct connection at the pitch. Disposing of grey water and emptying the chemical toilet are also free of charge. You'll find the stations at check-in
