Quiet Camping at the Red Bull Ring – Sleep, Not Party Noise
Guaranteed quiet hours from 23:00, security around the clock, no loud party music. Restful nights for families & motorsport fans at the Red Bull Ring.

You want to soak up the race weekend at the Red Bull Ring – and then sleep in? Then you're in the right place: from 23:00 we guarantee quiet hours, watched over by security, with no loud party music.
You probably know the feeling: full of race action and adrenaline all day – and in the evening you just want to drift off in peace. Not everyone fancies putting up with party music from next door until midnight after qualifying. Honestly, that's exactly why so many guests come to us: because they know it's quiet here from 23:00. No compromises, no exceptions.
Why are quiet hours so important for many campers?
Let's be honest: a Formula 1 weekend is long. Free practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday, the race on Sunday – and in between you might want to explore the fan zone or Spielberg. Anyone who can't wind down in the evening ends up dragging themselves across the site, exhausted. Families with kids, couples and older motorsport fans in particular love simply being able to switch off after an intense day. That's why we've taken a clear stance from the very start: the Schitterhof is deliberately not a party site.
„After race day we just want to sleep – and that works perfectly here.“
Quiet hours apply across the entire grounds from 23:00. That means: no loud music from speakers, no shouting, no unnecessary noise. Anyone still sitting together over a beer and chatting quietly is of course welcome – as long as no one is disturbed. Our security team is on duty all night, making sure the peace is kept. The grounds are well lit, and the atmosphere stays relaxed.
How exactly are quiet hours enforced?
During events we work with a professional security team that's present around the clock. The staff know the grounds, they're friendly – and consistent. If someone does overdo it, we step in politely but firmly. Over the past few years we've had hardly any issues, because most guests come here for exactly that reason: they want peace and quiet.
The grounds are lit at night so you can move around safely – whether you need the sanitary facilities or you're taking the dog for one last walk. Access is for registered guests only; everyone wears their wristband visibly. That creates a good feeling, especially if you're travelling alone or arriving with the family.
Is the site suitable for women travelling solo?
Absolutely. We regularly get feedback from women who appreciate exactly this: well-lit grounds, security all night long and a calm, relaxed vibe. No party crowd, no uncertainty – just motorsport fans who want to enjoy the weekend and then sleep. That makes the Schitterhof a place where solo travellers feel at home too.
If you're not sure whether the site suits you: our official Farbcode WEISS means we've been an accredited partner of the Red Bull Ring since 1999 (back then still the A1-Ring). In concrete terms that means: proven safety concepts, official camping stickers and a well-rehearsed team that knows how big events work.
What if I still have to get out early?
No stress. Quiet hours apply to everyone – but of course you can head to the track in the morning whenever you like. Many guests get up early to secure a good spot in the grandstand or to enjoy a relaxed breakfast. As long as you're considerate about it (start the engine quietly, don't slam doors), that's completely fine. Official quiet hours end at 07:00, and the grounds slowly come to life.
All the readings and the full model calculation per ISO 9613-2 can be found in the independent noise report.
