AirPower 2027 Zeltweg: Campsite with a View of the Air Show

AirPower 2027 at the Zeltweg air base is the biggest air show in the Alpine region – and CAMPING WEISS gives you pitches with a direct view of the action in the sky. Just 1.7 km as the crow flies from the show, with electricity, modern sanitary facilities and a date guarantee.

AirPower only takes place every few years – and in 2027 the time has come again. At the Hinterstoisser air base in Zeltweg, everything then revolves around military and civil aerobatics, from historic propeller planes to modern jets. Book in time and you'll secure yourself a pitch at CAMPING WEISS with a direct view of the spectacle in the sky.

Why CAMPING WEISS of all places for AirPower?

Simple: the location. The air base is around 1.7 km as the crow flies from the Schitterhof – it hardly gets closer. You see the jets take off and land, hear the engines and experience the aerobatic displays up close, without fighting your way through the crowds. In the evening you're back at your pitch on foot in just a few minutes, while others are still stuck in the shuttle jam.

The site itself has been an official partner of the Red Bull Ring (colour code WEISS) since 1999 and is battle-tested accordingly: modern sanitary facilities with hot water around the clock, central fresh-water taps, food outlets with pizza, pasta and tacos, plus a professional security team from 23:00. For you that means: no improvised conditions, but proven infrastructure.

Which pitch suits the air show?

You have a choice of five categories – which one suits you depends above all on the length of your vehicle:

BASIC (approx. 30 m², slightly sloping) is ideal for a car with tent, two motorbikes with tent or a camper up to 6 m. You can add electricity optionally. Up to 6 people.

PREMIUM (approx. 48 m², level) with electricity included (230 V / 8 A, Schuko CEE 7/3) for motorhomes up to 7.5 m. Central location, up to 8 people. A private toilet can be added optionally.

PREMIUM XL (approx. 60 m² / 6×10 m, level) fits a car + caravan (rig) or extra-long motorhomes up to 9 m. Electricity included, up to 8 people.

PREMIUM XXL (approx. 78 m² / 6×13 m, level) – our largest meadow area for luxury liners and motorhomes up to 12 m. Exclusive spot near the food outlets and sanitary facilities, up to 10 people.

Chalet made of Swiss stone pine (interior approx. 2.20×2.80 m) with two bunk beds for up to 4 people. Electricity, USB ports and lighting included. You don't need your own vehicle. Chalet guests use four exclusive VIP bathrooms and a car park approx. 100 m away.

What does a pitch for AirPower 2027 cost?

You'll see the current price for each category and the AirPower weekend directly in the booking form on the website. There you set people, nights and options – the displayed price is transparent and up to date. The base price applies to the event weekend with two nights included (minimum stay). Additional people or further nights are added automatically. Children pay no pitch surcharge and under the age of 15 are also exempt from the local tourist tax.

Booking is exclusively online: choose the event, select the category, enter your details, pay. Once payment is received, you'll automatically get a confirmation email with an invoice and your QR code for check-in. Only with this confirmation is the booking binding.

Cancellation and rebooking – fair and transparent

If your plans change, a staggered rule applies from the event start: for a cancellation 6 months or more in advance you get 100 % back. Between 2 and 6 months in advance there's 50 % money back – or, alternatively, a free rebooking as credit. Less than 2 months in advance a refund is no longer possible, but you're offered a one-off free rebooking as credit.

Should the organiser postpone the event, your booking automatically moves to the replacement date. In the event of a complete cancellation with no replacement date, you get the full amount back.

Arrival and check-in for AirPower

Schitterhof CAMPING WEISS is at Spielbergerstraße 12 in 8724 Spielberg (GPS: 47.2140879, 14.7775305). During AirPower the access route is signposted with the symbol "black tent on a white background". You'll see the bookable arrival and departure days directly in the booking calendar (event week from Tuesday to Monday). You can also arrive later than booked – unused nights are not refunded.

Usual check-in times are 08:00–22:00, on the main arrival day until 23:00. We'll give you the exact times for each event in the booking confirmation. Check-in on Saturday/Sunday only by prior arrangement at servus@schitterhof.at. Check-in outside these times is not possible – you can spend the night on the waiting car park right in front of the check-in area and check in the next morning from 08:00.

At check-in simply show your QR code from the confirmation email (on your phone is fine). You'll then receive your wristband, which is worn visibly throughout your stay and serves as access to the grounds.

Electricity, water and sanitary – everything on site

Every PREMIUM, PREMIUM XL and PREMIUM XXL pitch as well as the Chalet has electricity included (230 V / 8 A, Schuko CEE 7/3). With BASIC electricity is optional. We recommend a splash-proof extension cable of approx. 40 m (at least 25 m) – and important: always unroll cable drums completely, otherwise they can overheat. Charging e-cars via the pitch connection is not permitted for safety reasons – the connections are rated at 8 A for household appliances only. Please use the public charging station at the RingRast petrol station, approx. 500 m away. E-bikes may be charged via the normal Schuko sockets.
