Arrival & Check-in at the Red Bull Ring: How to Reach the Site Stress-Free
Access, check-in times, QR code – everything about arriving at CAMPING WEISS near the Red Bull Ring. Address, GPS and tips for a smooth start.

You've booked, the camper is packed – now the trip begins. So you arrive relaxed, here's everything about access, check-in times and what awaits you on site.
The address for your sat nav is: Spielbergerstraße 12, 8724 Spielberg. GPS coordinates are 47.2140879, 14.7775305. From the Red Bull Ring it's just 900 metres – so you're practically there the moment you spot the track. During Formula 1, MotoGP or AirPower, the access route is signposted with the symbol of a "black tent on a white background". Just follow that symbol, even when some roads are closed to the public along the way. As a booked guest, you always get through.
When can I actually arrive?
You'll see the bookable arrival and departure days directly in the booking calendar – the event week usually runs from Tuesday to Monday. You can also arrive later than booked, no problem. However, unused nights are not refunded. For Formula 1 there's a minimum stay of three nights; for MotoGP, DTM and AirPower it's two nights each. Leaving early is possible, in case you need to head off sooner.
The usual check-in times are 08:00 to 22:00, and on the main arrival day we extend until 23:00. The exact times for your event are stated in your booking confirmation. Check-in on Saturday or Sunday is only possible with prior notice at servus@schitterhof.at. If you arrive outside these hours, you can spend the night on the free waiting car park right in front of the check-in area and check in from 08:00 the next morning.
What do I need at check-in?
Basically almost nothing. Just show the QR code from your confirmation email – your phone is all you need. You'll then receive your wristband, which is worn visibly throughout your stay and serves as your access to the grounds. At check-in you'll also get the coloured rubbish bags (yellow for plastic/cans, blue for general waste) and all the info you need on site.
„The wristband is your ticket to the grounds – just wear it where it can be seen and everything runs smoothly.“
If the confirmation email hasn't landed in your inbox within 48 hours of booking, please get in touch at servus@schitterhof.at. Only with this confirmation is your booking binding.
Are there access restrictions during the events?
During Formula 1, MotoGP and AirPower there can be temporary closures and diversions around the Ring – understandable, with crowds like these. But for booked guests, access to the campsite is always possible. Just follow the white signs with the tent symbol. The Schitterhof carries the official Farbcode WEISS in the Red Bull Ring's traffic and safety concept. That means: you drive to us directly along cleared routes, even when everything around is gridlocked.
Walking pace applies across the entire grounds – a maximum of 10 km/h. Sounds slow, but it makes sense: it keeps the meadow and your neighbours safe, and no one has to swerve out of the way.
Can I arrive without my own vehicle?
Yes, you can. There's a bus stop right in front of the camping area, and Knittelfeld station is about 4 kilometres away. During the events, shuttles run to the Red Bull Ring, and from there it's roughly a 10 to 15-minute walk. If you're booking without your own vehicle, the Chalet is your best choice – a solid little cabin made of Swiss stone pine with bunk beds for up to four people, including electricity and its own parking space (about 100 metres away).
