Arrive at the campsite in Spielberg by plane.

You're flying to the Austrian Grand Prix? But how do you get from the airport to the race track or to your campsite? Here are some options:

There are several international airports in Austria. The biggest airport with the most international connections is Vienna. The nearest airport is Graz. You can also travel via Klagenfurt, Salzburg and Linz airports.

Vienna Airport
Vienna Airport is by far the busiest airport in Austria.
There are many ways to reach the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg from Vienna Airport:
The easiest and cheapest is to take the train. A train goes directly from the airport to Vienna Central Station. There are more than 70 trains a day for this purpose. The journey only takes about 15 minutes and tickets for this route are available from €4.00. To buy your ticket online, click here.
Once you arrive at the main station, take the train to Knittelfeld.

At ÖBB you can check the timetables and buy your ticket online. In Knittelfeld you can take a taxi to the race track or to your accommodation.

Airport Graz
If you land at Graz airport, take a bus or taxi to Graz train station. From there it is less than an hour and a half drive to Knittelfeld. To get to the train station, you can take the bus that stops in front of the airport hall. The price for one ride is €2.40.

At Graz main station, take the train to Knittelfeld. From Knittelfeld it is best to take a taxi to the circuit or to your accommodation. It is only a few kilometres to the RedBull-Ring.

Salzburg Airport
If you land at Salzburg Airport, the easiest and fastest way to get to Knittelfeld is by train. Unfortunately, there is no direct train connection between Salzburg Airport and Salzburg Central Station (Salzburg Hbf), so the best way to reach the station is to take the city bus No. 2, which runs regularly every 10-20 minutes. The journey takes about 20 minutes and the fare is about € 2.50 for adults and € 1.30 for children (up to 15 years). Tickets can be purchased at Salzburg Airport from the ticket machine at the stop or directly from the driver.

Once you arrive at Salzburg main station, take the direct train to Knittelfeld. The journey takes about four and a half hours. Knittelfeld station is only a few kilometres away from the RedBull Ring in Spielberg. From Knittelfeld you can take a taxi to the circuit or your accommodation.

Linz Airport
When you arrive in Linz, go to Linz main station and take the train to St. Michael in Upper Styria. There you change to the train to Knittelfeld. The whole journey takes less than three hours. To get to St. Michael, you can also take a bus. The buses leave from the Linz Wissensturm bus stop. From there, continue by train to Knittelfeld. From Knittelfeld take a taxi to the race track or your accommodation.

Klagenfurt Airport
Once you have landed at Klagenfurt airport, take the hourly shuttle bus to Klagenfurt main station (Hbf). The journey takes about 30 minutes. At Klagenfurt main station, take the train in the direction of Knittelfeld. The train leaves every three hours, the journey takes about one and a half hours. From Knittelfeld take a taxi to the race track or your accommodation.

Free shuttle bus from Friday from Knittelfeld train station to the race track:
