Your booking, your rules: change and cancel in two minutes

Your mate confirms two weeks out. You want to roll in Wednesday instead of Thursday. Or the motorhome's longer than you thought. Not a problem—you sort it yourself, no emails, no hold music, and you see exactly what it costs.

At spielberg-camping-weiss.at/meine-buchung you enter booking number and email. The number's in your confirmation, starts with a hash—something like #0042. With or without the hash, both work.

Via schitterhof.at/meine-buchung you reach the same booking. Two doors, one room.

Stay longer. The site opens from Wednesday, last day is the Monday after the race. Within that window you shift arrival and departure wherever you need them.

Add people. Adults and children separately. Per-person charges and overnight tax get calculated automatically—and the system won't let you add more than your pitch holds.

Switch category. BASIC up to PREMIUM, PREMIUM to XL or XXL, or straight into a chalet. You only see what's actually available for your dates.

After that the additional payment amount appears in black and white—paid so far, new total, difference. Only then do you confirm. Booking number and check-in QR stay the same, your arrival sheet gets rebuilt with the new details.

Downgrading—fewer people, shorter stay, smaller category. That involves money flowing back, and we want an actual person to look at that, not a form. Quick message to us and we'll sort it.

On your booking page there's request cancellation. The full scale appears there, your case is marked, and the amount that applies to you is shown alongside. No flying blind.

Calculation runs from the start of the event, not from your arrival day:

Six months or more before: 100 percent back.

Six to two months before: 50 percent back—or keep everything as credit and rebook for free.

Under two months: no money back, but one free rebooking as credit for another event or next year.

If an event gets postponed, your booking moves automatically. If it's cancelled outright, you get the full amount back.

We don't do deposits. You pay in full and the pitch is yours.

Sounds harsh, but it's more honest. A deposit-held pitch wobbles—for our planning and for you when someone shows up two weeks before the race with full payment. We didn't want that uncertainty on either side.

The trade-off: long, clear cancellation windows. Six months' full refund isn't exactly standard in motorsport camping.

Camping and tickets at the Ring legally count as leisure services. For these, Austrian consumer protection law (§ 18 Abs. 1 Z 10 FAGG) provides no right of withdrawal—the 14-day online shopping cooling-off period doesn't apply here. Many operators leave it at that: booked is booked.

With a postponement, such terms usually say the date may change without refund or exchange. With a cancellation, you get the price back but typically not the processing fee.

We could have done exactly that. We didn't. Up to six months out you get everything back—and even close to race weekend your money isn't lost, it travels forward as credit.
